WSAS A Night With The Stars 2018

By 29 January 2018No Comments

Now in its 9th year, the ‘A Night With The Stars’ Celebrity Sports Dinner has become a landmark event for the Western Sydney region, and in particular the Hills district business community.
The event raises much needed funds for the Western Sydney Academy of Sport (WSAS), which is a community based not-for-profit organisation that provides development programs for the regions talented young sportspeople. Pendragon Management is a proud supporter of WSAS and we look forward to attending the wonderful evening every year.
A celebrity sports star panel will be quizzed on pertinent sports matters in the Bar Stool Banter segment hosted by a celebrity MC. A major live action featuring unique experiences will be held as well as some fascinating silent auction and raffle items. Some fantastic sporting stars have been announced for the evening including: Jana Pittman, two-time world champion in the 400m hurdles and the first Australian female to compete at both the Summer and Winter Olympics; Kate Bates, World Champion in Cycling and two time Commonwealth Games gold medallist; and Matthew Abood, Australian Freestyle swimmer who was part of the 2016 Australian Olympics 4×100 Free Relay team who won bronze in Rio.
This year Sony Music Australia will once again be taking care of the evening’s musical act, always providing a popular and current artist for your entertainment. Previous years have seen performances by Justice Crew, Samantha Jade, Jack Vidgen, Timomatic, Mark Vincent and Nathaniel Willemse. The Sony Music Act who will be performing will be revealed in due course!
The funds generated from the event are used to provide more scholarship opportunities for young athletes in Western Sydney.
