Our Charity Work

Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund

The team at Pendragon have decided to support Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund (CNCF); a registered Australian environmental charity.
Since 2001, CNCF has helped individuals, families and organisations to minimise their impact on the environment.

CNCF uses the funds raised through donations and carbon offsets to plant native trees and shrubs on degraded land in Australia. Their reforestation projects sequester carbon whilst helping to restore the landscape and conserve the natural biodiversity.

Koala Conservation Australia

Koala Conservation Australia and the Koala Hospital is a not-for-profit charity funded by the public through donations and bequests, the Adopt A Wild Koala Program and souvenir shop sales.

In 2019, for the first time in its history, the Koala Hospital heard that its application for government funding was successful. Started in 1973, the Hospital is much loved and well-used. Major renovations are long overdue! The state government’s Restart NSW Program is providing funds specifically for the rebuilding of the Koala Hospital, enabling us to continue best practice in the treatment of koalas. 80% of the cost of rebuilding the Hospital will be provided by the NSW Government and Koala Conservation Australia Limited will fund the remaining 20%. The new Hospital, in conjunction with the recently-established Wild Koala Breeding Program will enhance visitor experience, and increase education, training and research facilities.

The ongoing running costs of the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and the Wild Koala Breeding Program are dependent on the public’s generosity.

Animal Works

Animal Works is a registered Australian not for profit association that works with partners around the globe to conserve wildlife.

Their mission is to make conservation everybody’s passion by spreading the word about the state of the natural world and what we can all do about it. To achieve this, they work to draw attention to the plight of threatened species like orangutans, elephants and big cats through visual mediums, striking artworks and the written word. They believe that individuals can make a huge difference in the world by working together.

Animal Works is run entirely by volunteers, so you know that anything you donate is going straight to the animals, not into administration or institutional overheads. They are a small organisation doing all they can to make a big difference.

After attending our first charity auction dinner many years ago, we realised how desperately funding was needed for this very important research. It is our hope that with the involvement of our Managing Director, John Glover on the Executive Committee and our continued support of this wonderful organisation that we will be making a difference to many peoples lives in the future.

For further photos of this event please visit our Events page and visit the Jeans for Genes website for information on how you can assist this very worthwhile cause.

Our staff are very involved in the support we provide for Grace and her community, they have become part of the Pendragon family and we are very proud of the progress being made.

We will do all that we can to ensure that the community of Malawi has a positive future. As we receive newsletters from Save the Children we will endeavor to keep you up to date with the progress being made in Malawi.

Western Sydney Academy of Sport

The Western Sydney Academy of Sport was incorporated in June 2004 as an independent, not-for-profit community based organisation, and is one of 11 Regional Academies of Sport located throughout New South Wales.

The Academy’s charter is to provide quality development programs for talented young athletes residing in the western Sydney region, and we do this across a wide range of sport disciplines in collaboration with the recognised State Sporting Organisation (SSO) for each sport.

Their programs bring together technical and skill development resources, educational providers and personal development activities which combine to provide a holistic program delivered at some of the region’s best venues.

John has been a long time supporter of the charity, and Pendragon is one of the event partners for their annual ‘A Night with the Stars’, which is the premier sporting dinner event in the region.
