As Paul Hogan once reminded us why not come on over and I’ll throw another shrimp on the barbie, of course that was targeting international visitors however with international travel a distant memory we are being reminded by none other than The Wiggles that we have a big, beautiful country here to explore.
And who better to get us up off the couch than The Wiggles, now the youngest of travellers are sure to get excited about Australia. That’s right The Wiggles have just released a new book called The Great Australian Wiggly Road Trip! as part of a new partnership with Tourism Australia. The idea is to inspire families to holiday in the country inspired by the group travelling around spotting Aussie animals and iconic locations.
The publication features 32 pages of stunning illustrations showing The Wiggles enjoying and looking into gorgeous sites of this special country. Additionally, the book offers QR codes to scan with your smartphone for extra information about activities available in the areas. To have a taste of what you will find there is a video of Emma reading the book on YouTube.
Tourism Australia also created a hub dedicated to inspire parents to plan and book their next kid-friendly holiday down under. It includes content to engage the youth and ideas of things to do in family in Australia.
Considered Aussie icons, The Wiggles are celebrating 30 years in 2021. They are one of the few groups that manage to be loved by different generations all over the world. Therefore, the group was invited also to be part of the Tourism Australia’s Friends of Australia program, for all the work they have done to promote Australia to the world.
